| Shanghai Bao-Neng Lightweight Materials Company Limited is a private enterprise, which specializes in production of expanded perlite serial products. The company commits itself to the production and application development of the expanded perlite serial products. It passed the ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System Certification, which was judged by BVQI in 2003. The company possesses of many independent intellectual property rights. The processing equipments of the expanded perlite and the hydrophobic perlite produced by the cryogenic equipment adopt the computer-focused processing parameter to control the operation, thus the product quality is stable. The company can produce the type 40 expanded perlite stably, which is the only company having the ability of producing the type 40 expanded perlite and the hydrophobic perlite produced by the cryogenic equipment. The process of the production and construction on site adopts HSE controlment project.
The expanded perlite produced by the cryogenic equipment can be categorized into three types: type 40, type 50 and type 60, each of which corresponds with bulk density ≤40KG／m3,≤50KG／m3,≤60KG／m3,and they can be categorized into expanded perlite and hydrophobic perlite according to the condition that whether they are dealt with the hydrophobic process. The expanded perlite of the cryogenic serial produced by our company was awarded the high quality product in the field of China perlite in 2004.
The product type number 40, 50 and 60, the hydrophobic expanded perlite, are the high-technology product having the unique independent intellectual property rights in China, which are developed in allusion to the LNG boat adiabatic case. Our company and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Company cooperated together to produce these perlite, whose capability index achieve the advanced level in the world. The hydrophobic expanded perlite is dealt with hydrophobic process by using the high-quality surface treatment chemicals on the basis of expanded perlite. The process can cut off the capillary transfer and the absorbability of the moisture effectively, and it is good for enhancing the long-term stability of the heat-resistant effect. It prolongs the internal period of the equipment examination and the longevity of the heat-resistant layer of the expanded perlite.
Since the products were put in the market, their excellent capability have received good reputation among the users home and abroad. They have been applied to the 900 thousand ton ethane equipment cold box of the Sino-British joint ventured Shanghai Saike Company(BP Company), two 1000m3 air separation equipment sets of Ningbo Huaguang Stainless Steel Company Limited, 2000m3 air separation equipments and cold boxes of Taizhou Dongfang Oxygen Plant, 3000m3 air separation equipments and cold boxes of Shanghai Baogang Oxygen Plant, 500 m3 air separation equipments and cold boxes of Shanghai Zhongyuan Group and so on. The products have good effects.
For the purpose of better developing the application of the products in the low temperature field, our company possesses the self-developed pneumatic filling conveyor of the expanded perlite which is used exclusively by the cold box. It has fast filling speed, small quantity of dusts. It saves labor and energy and provides expanded perlite filling services exclusively for the medium and great type of cold box users.

The company possesses of 21 high and intermediate administrative personnel. It has particular kiln types and advanced processing equipments. The expanded perlite product line which is fueled with pulverized coal can be adjusted at discretion to produce thin, intermediate thick, thick, extreme thick expanded perlite serial products ranging from 1 millimeter to 8 millimeters.
Among others, the thin products are provided for cryogenic equipments such as air separation equipments, tank car and oxygen plant as well as dynamite agile burst and for producing filter aid of perlite; The intermediate thick products can be confected into perlite goods with various agglomerant; The thick products are divided into two types: the acid ones and the alkalescent ones, which are applied to agriculture and gardening particularly, supervised by Shanghai Gardens Research Institute. The extreme thick products are exported to Japan and Southeast Asia area. The cement, hydrophobic perlite products and PPM bagged heat preservation rendering materials are used for general energy conservation in buildings and the heat preservation of the external cell of the energy conservational buildings; SPLM perlite light fillings have already been broadly applied to Minhang No.4 Line, Sichen Highway Bridge and other projects. The above mentioned advanced processing equipments and the new types have already been attorned to several perlite companies in China distinctively. With the high-speed development of the cryogenic technology, the particular methods of production, store and transportation for the air separation equipments, the vacuum store, the low temperature liquid transportation car and the liquefied natural gas equipment (LNG) include: LNG plant; LNG receiving terminal; LNG tank car; LNG tank boat; LNG aerificational station. Each one needs great quantities of the expanded perlite and the hydrophobic expanded perlite. The company makes use of the product line of the expanded perlite to manufacture the hydrophobic expanded perlite. Because of the unique capability of water resistance, the hydrophobic expanded perlite is more suitable for the thermal insulation of the cryogenic equipments and the liquefied natural gas tank boat and tank car.
