It is widely usedas thinner and

Italso acts as stabilizer for
oil/water emulsions.

in fresh and seawater
2) Thermal stability: about 170C
3) Particle size (wet sieve, by
weight): 90%min, should pass
through 30
meshes
4) Moisture content: max. 15% by
weight
5) Physical state: the material
as received should be free
flowing powder
Applications:
It is widely used in all kinds of
drilling fluid systems as thinner
or reducer withnormal dosage of
about 0.2 - 0.4%.
