2,2-Bis(4-(2,3-dibromopropoxy)-
3,5-dibromophenyl) propane is a
white powder. Its melting
point is 110C Min. And it is
soluble in dichloromethane,
toluene and acetone but insoluble
in water and carbinol. This is
the only compound whose chemical
structure contains aroma
bromine and fat bromine, so it
has excellent thermos-stability
and compatibility with resin.
It has excellent anti-
flammability effect.
Usage: 1)The product belongs to
additive anti-flammability agent,
mainly used in polyalkemer
resin, especially polypropylene,
also used for polypropylene,
terylene, cotton fiber and
rubber.
2)It may further be
produced into BDDP as
intermediate. It mainly be used
for polystyrene resin as flame-
retardant additive.
