grain appearance, have silky
luster, smooth and lubricant
feeling, high purity, good
viscous, and good dispersion and
suspension properties in aqueous
media and organic solvents. They
have good high temperature and
chemical corrosion resistances,
and excellent UV-shielding
effect. When used in coatings,
they markedly improve the weather
water penetration resistances of
the membranes. The powders are
easily dyed (pigment particles
enter the sericite layer
lattice), and thus the coatings
maintain the colors more uniform
and long-term. They are multi-
functional fillers with excellent
cost-effective ratio and are
widely used in various types of
coatings, such as anti-corrosion
coatings, architectural coatings,
powder coatings, thermal
isolation coatings, fire
retardant coatings and so on.
